NEW ORIENT LINER. —This view of the launching of the Orcades at Barrow-in-Furness, Lancashire, last Tuesday was wirelessed out to Australia and arrived by the Awatea’s mail this week. The Orcades is seen swinging across the channel between Walney Island and the mainland after being launched by Mrs I. G. Geddes, wife of the chairman of managers of the Orient Line.
