This is the first painting of King Edward VII in admiral’s dress and wearing the Garter mantle, to be shown. The group includes Mr Hugh Riviere, Mr George. Harcourt, R.A., Mr T C. Dugdale, A.R.A., Mrs Flora Lion, and Sir John Lavery, president of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. The picture of His Majesty was painted for the Master Mariners’ Guild.
