BRITAIN AND FRANCE AIM AT PLEBISCITE
(Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, December 9,
A plebiscite in Spian to end the disastrous civil war. reports the “Daily Herald’s” Paris correspondent, is the aim of the British and French Governments whose mediation is hoped to load to an armistice, after which a popular vote will be taken. The Spanish Government is believed to be agreeable, but General Franco's attitude is an unknown factor.
