Mrs R. Lewis returned from Auckland on Friday.
Mrs Yendell senr., of Hamilton? is visiting Mr and Mrs P. Yendell. Mr J. O’Sullivan has returned from Taranaki.
On Saturday evening the staff of the Kaitaia branch of the North Auckland Farmers’ Co-op. and a few personal friends tendered a complimentary evening to Mr T. H. Kenny on the occasion of his savering his connection with the Farmers’ Co-op., of the staff of which firm he has been a member for 24 years, 14 years as manager of the Kaitaia branch. On behalf of the Kaitaia branch staff, Mr Kenny was presented with a crystal spirit set by Mr A. E. Hollay, while Miss N. Elliott, a member of the staff, presented Mrs Kenny with a bouquet of roses. Mr Kenny suitably responded to expressions of goodwill voiced by the various speakers. Flag 500 engaged the attention of the gathering for the early part of the evening, while supper, dancing and music were the order of the programme.
