HEREKINO

A fancy dress ball was the opening dance of the Waiotehue school - on Friday evening, and was proved a great success by many people from far and near. A spot waltz was won by Miss Muriel Urlich and Mr Les Wallace, while the Monte Carlo was won by Miss Joan Geddes and Mr Bob MacKenzie. A cushion was won by Mr Eddie King. In fancy costumes were: —

Curie. “Highland Laddie.” Mr Curie won the prize for the most original dress, as did Miss Alice Paulson, while Mr Penny and Mrs M. Kjoller won the prizes for the best dressed.
