The Feilding Jockey Club’s spring meeting was concluded yesterday in wet weather. There was a large attendance, and the totalisator handled £13,356 10/-, against £B,lll last year, an increase of £5,245 10/-. The total for the meeting was £30,429, compared with £19,176, an increase of £12,253. Results:—
Oroua Nursery Handicap, of 100 sovs; two-year-olds; five furlongs.—(2) Greenwich, 8.13,‘ 1; (1) Wild Flower, 8.7, 2;*(3) Laughing Chief, 7.11, 3. Six others started. Three lengths; a length and a half. Time —1.6.
Rongotea Handicap, of 130 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—(2) Ingenuity, 7.11, 1; (9) Master Limond, 7.7, 2; (31 Charade, 8.8, 3. Seven others started. Four lengths; a length. Time—2.l4 3-5.
Nikau 'Handicap, of 100 sovs; six furlongs.—(7) Brazen King, 8.13, 1; (9) Travail, 7.12, 2; (2) Great Hope, 8.4, 3, Nine others started. Three-quarters of a length; a head. Time —1.18 4-5. Empire Handicap, of 110 sovs; seven furlongs.—(l) Lowenberg, 8.11, 1; (31 Royal Secret, 8.9, 2; (7) Blue Garter, 7.8, 3. Four others started. A head; two lengths. Time —1.32 2-5.
