In spite of dull weather and scattered showers, the attendance was good for the concluding day of the Takapuna Jockey Club’s spring meeting, held at Ellerslie yesterday. The totalisator handled £27.601 10/-. compared with £21,132 10/- on the second day last year, an increase of £6,470. The investments for the meeting amounted to £58,953 10/-; against £48,795 10/- last year, an increase of £10,158. Results: — Rakino Handicap, of 150 sovs; two-year-olds; five furlongs.— (5-5) Nuclei. 8.1, 1; (2-2) Bachelor King, 9.6, 2; (4-4> Highborn, 7.11, 3. Ten others started. Three-quarters of a length; half a length. Time —1.4 2-5, Pupuke Plate, of 300 sovs; special weights; one mile. — (8-8) Sweet Rose, 8.12, 1; (1-1) Kilonsoa, 8.12, 2; (5-5) Quadroon, 8.0, 3. Five others started. A length and a half; three-quarters cf a length. Time—l.4l 1-5.
