In spite of dull weather and scattered showers, the attendance was good for the concluding day of the Takapuna Jockey Club’s spring meeting, held at Ellerslie yesterday. The totalisator handled £27.601 10/-. compared with £21,132 10/- on the second day last year, an increase of £6,470. The investments for the meeting amounted to £58,953 10/-; against £48,795 10/- last year, an increase of £10,158.
