NOTES ABOUT THE CIVIL WAR

LONDON, November 29

The “Daily Mail’s” Rome correspondent understands that the Italian Ambassadors in London and Paris have been instructed, while not formally protesting, to point out that a League discussion of the Spanish situation will lend gravely to disturb European relations. The situation arising out of the Spanish civil war will be the subject of a number of questions in the House of Commons on Monday.

Questions on other aspects of international affairs, including relations with Irak, will also be put. When the international committee for the application of the agreement regarding non-intervention in Spain meets on Wednesday, it is hoped that all delegates will have received the necesary instructions to enable it to reach a decision on aspects of the plan for supervision over the entry of arms into Spain without contravention of the agreement.
