(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, November 29,
The “News Chronicle.” in a leading article, comments on Hobbs’ comparison of the six English players who batted last for England against Queensland on Friday and added only 17 runs, to Clapham Common cricketers. It says; “Pei’haps Hobbs has added a phrase to the language, but it is doubtful whether Common players deserve this immortality of ‘Rabbitdom.’ They might have made more than 17 runs."
