A successful financial year has been experienced by • the Otago Harbour Board, the revenue having increased by £IB,OOO to £178,131, which is only £7OOO less than the record figure reached in 1929-30.
Inward wharfage dues collected were the highest on record, while overseas export tonnage and shipping arrivals also reached new figures. The overseas exports, 61,922 tons, exceeded the previous record set in 1932-33 by 2,443 tons. Imports increased by 11,074 tons over last year’s figures, fertilisers accounting for nearly 400 tons of the increase.
