TE PUKI
The meeting of the Te Puki Women’s Institute was held last Thursday, the day being changed from Wednesday. Mrs Tracy presided over a fair attendance of members. Mrs R, Edwards' was the winner of the shield for the month, and Vera Buckingham and June Peterson tied in the junior class. “Something for nothing” was won by Mrs A. Tracy. / The competitions for the month/are as follows:—Cooking: Ginger sponge, Mrs A. Tracy 1, Mrs W. Dawson 2. Sewing: Worked apron, Mesdames R. Edwards 1, A, Edwards 2. Juniors.— Worked :apron: ' Vera Buckingham 1, June Peterson 2. Six blooms, all one shade: June Peterson 1, Vera Buckingham 2. , s” ‘ The singing of the National Anthem brought a happy meeting to a close.
