The cricket match between the Indian touring team and Ireland ended today in a win for the visitors by ten wickets. Ireland’s first innings ended for 161 runs and India replied with 150. Boucher took 6 wickets for 30. In the second innings the home team made 119, C. K. Nayudu faking 7 for 44. India’s second innings resulted in a score of 131 for 0 wickets; Merchant, not out, 71.
The annual cricket match between Eton and Harrow was abandoned owing to rain. The scores were: Harrow, 180 (Watson 64). Mclndoe took six wickets for 50. Eton. 26 for 0 wickets.
