TO AUSTRALIA IN FOUR DAYS?
(Received 2 p.m.)
LONDON, July 10
Lord Semphill, famous English airman, left Hanworth Aerodrome to-day at 4 p.m. for Australia, which he says he expects to reach on Tuesday'. Lord Semphill said ire was not interested in breaking Mr. C. W. A. Scott’s Melbourne Centenary Race record of 55 hours, but, as one concerned in the air lines of Australia, he was anxious to test the plane, which is a Monospar Croydon monoplane, and to see how it behaves under Australian conditions. He is accompanied by H. Wood, pilot; P. Gilroy, wireless operator, and L. Davies, ground engineer.
