KAITAIA
The Kaitaia District High School Committee has received a letter from the Education Board stating that it is recommending to the Department that two additional classrooms be provided for the secondary department. Mr Hollay, secretary to the committee, informed an “Advocate” reporter that the question of making Kaitaia a training centre for all pupils above a certain age is in abeyance, but a meeting of the School Committees' Association will be held shortly, when there will be further discussion on the project. At present 61 pupils are attending the secondary department of the school, and 251 the primary department, making the total 213.
