OUT WITH THE HARRIERS

K GIVEN’S GOOD EARLY FORM

The last weekly run of the Whangarei Harrier Club was held over the Whareora track, which provided easy going for the miles approximately. ,

The slow pack was despatched 10 minutes before the fast one and K. Given came home first in the good time of 33 minutes. He was followed by M. Smith and W. Abel.

This run was more in the nature of a training outing for the first race of the season to be held next Saturday. All runners are now fairly fit and the sealed handicap event should produce good form. Club members were the guests of Mr and Mrs Macdermott, Mercer Street, and next week’s run wilL commence from Powhiri Avenue at the invitation of Mr and Mrs W. A. Given.
