VALUES AT ADDINGTON

stOTe lambs were also cheaper, but there was little other change from last week. Lambs met with a firm market, and prices for store ewes were better.
Fat Sheep.—There was a yarding of 3800, with no change in values, although inquiry was not so keen. Export buyers took little interest. Best wethers made to 26/10; medium, 21/ to 24/9; best ewes, to 26/7; medium, 15/6 to 20/6; ordinary, 11/6 to 14/. Fat Lambs. —The entry was good, and competition was keen at late rates. Extra prime made to 34/4; prime, 24/6 to 27/6; medium, 21/ to 24/.
Store Sheep.—There was a slightly larger yarding, mostly ewes. Good young ewes and forward rape ewes sold well at an advance of up to 1/. Best 2-tooth crossbred were to 33/6.
There was a large entry of lambs, but the quality was not impressive, and values were lower by up to 1/6 a head. Fat Cattle.—The yarding of 485 compared with 440 last week. A few good quality lines of steers were penned, but the rest were not attractive. Best beef was 10/ a head cheaper, and old cows and inferior cattle were up to £ 1 lower. Best beef made 25/6 to 27/6 per lOOIbs; extra, 29/; good, 23/ to 25/; ordinary, 18/ to 21/; rough, down to 15/; extra prime heavy steers, to £l2 12/6; mediumweight, £5 15/ to £9 5/; extra prime heifers, to £8 12/6; medium, £4 to £7; extra prime cows, to £6; others, to £4 5/.
Fat pigs sold well, especially porkers. Baconers made 46/ to £3 3/6. The average price per lb. was 4fd to sd. Porkers made 28/ to 44/. The average price per lb. was 5Jd to 6Jd.
