TAKAHUE
PERSONAL, v Mr and Mrs A. Bastard and Miss Gwen Bastard are in Whangarei. Miss Gwen Bastard will be' attending the Whangarei High School this year. Mrs Warner, Mrs Bastard’s mother, accompanied them. As a result of the very heavy rain during the week-end. Takahue was completely shut off. A big slip in the cutting blocked the road to Kaitaia, but a working bee started in the early hours of Monday morning to clear the road. The Saddle Road, Digger's Valley Road and Herekino Road are all blocked by slips.
