HEALTHY TONE TODAY [Special to “Northern Advocate ."l There was a healthy tone oix the AUCKLAND. This Day. Auckland Stock Exchange today, and a fair turnover was recorded at the first call. insurances continued firm, and buyer's for South British moved up to £4 12/-, with holders asking 1/6 higher. Banks wox’e steady. Nationals of Australasia were very firm, with buyer’s at £7 9/- and no seller's. Reserves were steady between £5 14/ and £5 ISA There was slight improvement in Mortgage Corporation shares following the Ministerial pronouncement. and these were quoted! at between 4/7' and 5/. Mount Morgans slipped another Id, business being done at 18/2. and in the subsequent market at from 18/ to 18/4. Government stocks were steady.
