WHANGAREI NIGHT TOURNEY
A pairs tourney under electric light was held on the Whangarei Bowling Club’s green last night, a total of six rinks being occupied. Four games of eight heads were played with three bowls per player. After the completion of the fourth round, three pairs remained in the running, each with three wins. They were Whitehead and H. Wilson, Studd and Everett and Marwick and M. G. King. The last-named pair drew the bye, while Studd and Everett beat Whitehead and King in a game of three heads. In the final of five heads. Studd and Everett accounted for Marwick and King, 6 —2.
