GOVERNMENT MOVES
P.W.D. TO SUBMIT URGENT REPORT In reply to his telegram, despatched yesterday, the chairman of the Whangarei County Council, Mr J. A. S. Mac Kay, this afternoon received the following advice from Mr R. Semple, Minister of Public Works: — “I am arranging for the Public Works Department to make an urgent report on the extent of flood damage, to enable me lo submit the question of financial assistance for the consideration of Cabinet.”
