QOUNTY OF WHANGAREI. FLOOD DAMAGE. On behalf of the Members of the Council and myself I wish to express sincere thanks to all those farmers who so promptly and voluntarily turned out to assist in re-opening many roads throughout the County to urgent traffic. The damage has been widespread and enormous and the situation calls for continued co-operation in restoring cream routes. Every endeavour is being made by Council. to deal with the position. An urgent appeal has been made to the Government for cooperative assistance in labour and money.'
