At the fortnightly sale held by Alfred Buckland and Sons, Ltd.., at Pukekohe yesterday, about 60 horses of all classes were yarded. Prices generally were up to recent sales. Good, young reliable horses realised quite good prices, but aged horses were dull of sale. Top prices were paid for a five-year-old gelding, which made £4O, and for a two-year-old filly, which made £36 10/-. Children’s ponies sold exceptionally well, and made from £8 to £9 10/-. Extra heavy draughts, all work, £35 10/ to £4O; others, £23 to £32 10/; aged 'farm horses, £l2 to £2O; good hacks, £9 to £ll 15/; others, £2 to £6.
