DOWN AND UP
The story of how two pine trees on his property were razed by the nor’easter and then restored on their feet, when the gale came away from the sou’-west, is related by Mr D. H, McCathie, of Ruakaka. The trees were of the “mushroom” variety, and have left marks to prove the authenticity of the rare feat of the wind.
