The first three rounds of the pairs championship of the New Zealand Bowling Association’s tournaments were played yesterday. The title was not defended, the Hamilton pair (H. G. Loveridge and R. N. Pilkington, skip) being unable to attend, but many previous winners of the title are again in the running. Two further rounds will be played this morning, and after they are completed post-sectional play will be begun.
