RAIL TRAFFIC BACK TO NORMAL.
Christmas is always a * busy period for the railways, but now traffic, is gradually getting back to normal, and it is not now necessary to have an assisting engine on the expresses. Goods transport has resumed full activity. This week there is heavy movement in the lambs market and two special trains will run from Whangarei to Opua.
