RAWENE COURT
At the Tuesday sitting of the Rawene Police Court before Messrs T. P. Lane and F. C. Hargrave, J’s.P., four men, William Rudolf, William Graham, Alfred Angel, and Tony Marsh, pleaded not guilty to seperate charges of killing a bullock with intent to steal the carcase. The accused were each fined £7 10/, plus £1 6/9 costs, in default one month’s imprisonment. On the additional counts of cutting off a bullock’s ears and of hunting and killing a creature in a State Forest, they were each convicted and discharged.
