His many friends will be pleased to learn that Mr E. Dyer, of Deveron Road, who underwent an operation at the Whangarei District Hospital yesterday morning, spent a comfortable night and his condition today is reported to be good, Lieut.-Colonel and Mrs K. B. Tennant, returned to Whangarei on Thursday after a trip to England. Colonel Tennant and Captain Clifton, N.Z.S.C., represented the N.Z. Military forces at the Aldershot and Spithead reviews and at the Air Pageant he had the honour of being presented to His Majesty the King. During his stay in England he spent a week with the Scots Greys, the allied regiment with the North Auckland Mounted Rifles, at Edinburgh. The visitors from Whangarei left New Zealand last April and were in London for the Jubilee celebrations.
