INDIAN BOYCOTT
ITALIAN SHIPS AND GOODS. (Received 9.30 a.m.V LONDON, October 23. The “Daily Mail” Bombay correspondent says Indians are boycotting Italian liners. The Triestino (19,000 tons) sailed for Italy yesterday with only 15 passengers, whereas she' accommodated 350. She is generally fully booked. The boycott movement is also extending to Italian goods, including motor cars.
A meeting of 800 people at the Durban City Hall, Natal, resolved to ask the Government to prohibit the export of meat to Italy, to cancel the Italian shipping subsidy and to enforce every possible form of economic sanction.
