NEW PLYMOUTH FIRE

HOUSE DESTROYED FLAMES FOLLOW EXPLOSION. [Special to “Northern Advocate.”} NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. An eight-roomed house, occupied by Mr and Mrs H. W. T. Gower and daughter, was totally destroyed by fire on Wednesday night. A contractor was renovating the house and in the evening he was in the back yard, when he heard a loud explosion, and saw some objects hurled through a window. Immediately one of the rooms became a mass of flames, and nothing could be done to save the building. The contractor lost his tools and a quantity of material. The dwelling was insured.
