The special session of the Anglican Synod of the Diocese of Wellington concluded last night, the business before the session, which was presided over by Bishop H. W. Williams, of Waiapu, being the election of a successor to the Rt. Rev. T. H. Sprott, Bishop of Wellington, whose resignation was announced in July. By the close of the session a nomination had been decided upon, but it was stated officially that no announcement would be made until after communication with the nominee. Provided no further nomination is required, an announcement will be made in the near future without another assembly. In the event of further consideration becoming necessary, synod will be called together again in the New Year.
