NAZI MARRIAGE LAW
CERTIFICATES OF FITNESS.
(Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, .October 20.
The Berlin correspondent of 'The Times” says that Cabinet passed a new law prohibiting marriages, if—(1) One of the parties suffers from infectious disease which might affect the health of children, (2) one of the parties suffers from- mental disturbance, or has been certified incapable of managing his (or her) own affairs, either owing to mental aberration or an incurable tendency to run into debt, (3) one of the parties is suffering from hereditary disease. V
It is laid down that before marriage certificates must be obtained from the appropriate authorities that nd hindrance exists on any of these grounds. Marriages violating the law are null and void, and the parties are liable to imprisonment. • :
