SIR A. CHAMBERLAIN’S SON.

Lieutenant Joseph Chamberlain, soij of Sir Austin Chamberlain, who is serving with the Trans-Jordan frontier force, is reported to have been captured by Wahabis while on a pleasure excursion with a patrol in Hedjaz -territory. MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (Received 10.30 a.m.) •. JERUSALEM, July 21. The diplomatic correspondent of the “Sunday Express” is informed that Lieutenant Chamberlain was in charge of two army transport cars when he inadvertently crossed the frontier and was detained. A Foreign Office official told the “Sunday Times” that the land was -all desert, with nothing to mark the border. There is no ill-feeling. An Annan message says that Lieutenant Chamberlain’s release .was arranged through diplomatic channels.
