SALES AT KAIKOHE AND ohaeaWai. ; big SUPPLY ON THURSDAY. •„ A large entry of cattle came forward and the attendance was big, states the report of the North Auckland Farmers’ Co-op., Ltd.,. bn the Ohaeawai sale, held on Thursday. Dairy cattle sold at prices slightly in advance of late rhtes. Also there was a large yarding of beef with prices on a par. ■ Quotations:—Best dairy heifers, £4 to £4 17/6; medium dairy heifers, £2 10/ to £3 15/; small and inferior heifers, 28/ to £2 7/6; best dairy cows, £3 10/ to £5 2/6; medium dairy cows, £2 10/ to £3 7/6; unsound and inferior cows, 20/ to £2 5/; prime light fat bullocks, £6 2/ to £67/; coloured fat bullocks, £4 10/ to £5 5/; prime fat heifers, £4 4/ to £4 7/; heavy fat cows, £3 ,15/ to £4 2/; medium fat cows, £3 to £3 14/; light fat cows, £2 to £2 18/; 'heavy fat Jersey cows,' £2 15/ to £3 8/; light fat jersey cows, 35/ to £2 12/6; fresh-condition* Shorthorn cows, 35/ to £2 4/; 2-year-old Hereford heifers, r.w. Dalgety and Company,-Ltd., had a very large yarding of ..all classes of cattle, including an exceptionally big entry of dairy cattle. Competition ampngst a large dnd representative attendance was keen and prices realised were fully ufr to late quotations. Beef which was yarded in more than average numbers showed a slight decline in values. A fair entry of pigs met with competition in advance of late Values were:—Fat bullocks, £6 10/ to £7; light fat; bullocks, £5 10/ to £6;, unfinished bullocks, £5 to £5 10/; fat cows, £3 to £3 12/6; medium quality; £2-10/ to £2 15/; 4-year-old steers, £3 15/ to £4 10/; 3-year-old steers, £3 to £4; 2-year-old steers. £2 15/ to £3; cows and calves, £2 10/ to £3; Hereford run heifers, £3 to £3 2/; store cows, 25/ to 35/; boner cows, 15/ to 25/; 2-year-old Jersey heifers, 20/ to 30/; yearling Jersey heifers, 15/ to 2Q/; yearling Hereford heifers, £1 10/. to £1 15/; yearling Shorthorn heifers, medium, 17/6 to 25/; bulls, £3 to £35/; forward dairy cows, £3 10/ to £4; backward and medium sorts, £2 10/ to £3; Jersey heifers, forward sorts, £3 15/ to £4 15/; medium sorts, £3 to £3 10/; backward and small. £2 to £2 15/; weaner pigs, 15/ to 17/; slips, 18/ to 20/. Kaikohe Small. Competition was keen for a small entry of cattle at Kaikohe yesterday, according to the report of the North Auckland Farmers’ Co-op., Ltd. Best dairy cows, £3 10/ to £3 15/; best heifers, £3 12/6 to £4 2/6; medium dairy cows, £2 10/ to £2 17/6; medium dairy heifers, £2 10/ to £35/; backward and inferior cows and heifers, £1 to £2 2/; light fat bullocks. £4 5/ to £5 5/; fat cows, £3 12/6 to £3 15/; coloured grown steers, £3 15/ to £4 5/; fresh condition Shorthorn cows, 35/ to £2 2/; boner cows, 18/ to 24/; grade Jersey bulls, £3 to £3 10/; full mouth ewes. r.w. Southdown rams, 16/6 to 20/2.

The number of cattle yarded by Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., was also meagre. Prices showed no alteration.
