COLOSSAL COST
AMERICAN SCHEMES RECOVERY AND RELIEF (Received 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON. July 18. The Treasury Department announces that the recovery and relief programmes of the United States have involved an expenditure to date of 10.081.000. dollars. Of that sum 1.000. dollars was spent during the Hoover Administration and the balance under the “New Deal."
