CANADIAN TRADE

ADMONITORY COMMENT,

(Received 2.30 p.m.) VANCOUVER. July IS. The “Sun,” in an editorial, says that the Australian Prime Minister. Mr J. A. Lyons, comes to Canada with an i appeal to buy more from Australia. “The truth is,” says the paper, “that Canada, with her policy to ‘sell goods abroad but don't buy in return.’ is destroying her markets. "Every ‘ favourable balance with a country to which we do not owe money is bound to drive that country's customers away. The reason is plain. They can only pay for goods with goods. If Canada will not let them do that, they must buy in countries that will.”
