COMET FOR CHARTER

WALLER’S AIR RACE PLANE. 2/6 A MILE CHARGE. (Received 10 a.m.) ' / LONDON, December 28. A message from Brussels states that Mr Ken Waller and his Belgian companion, Captain Franchome, arrived there in the Comet plane, from Oran, Algeria. The flight of approximately 4000 miles to and from the Belgian Congo occupied 57 hours 19 minutes, including stops. The last lap of 1100 miles was done in four hours 59 minutes, at a speed of 220 miles an hour. “Will go anywhere at 200 miles per hour in a Comet” is the substance of an advertisement which appears in the “Times,” where Mr Waller, on behalf of Mr Bernard Rubins, owner of the plane, announces that the Comet is available for public charter. Mr Rubins’ representative says that Mr Waller will take anyone to Australia or elsewhere at 2/6 per mile. He adds that shorter flights than 1000 miles are hardly worth while.
