EXCHEQUER RETURNS
BRITISH COMPARISONS. [British Official Wireless.'] RUGBY, December 27. The Exchequer returns for the past week show that during the current financial year the total ordinary revenue, exclusive of self-balancing items, amounted on December 22 to £404,064,177, or £8,047,253 less than the amount collected at the corresponding date last year. Expenditure for the same period, exclusive of self-balancing items, was £512,985,085. This exceeded the amount expended at the corresponding date last year by £11,788,868.
