WAIHI REPORT. [Special to “Northern Advocate.”! WAIHI, This Day. The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Waihi Goldmining Co. — For the period ended October 27, comprising 21 crushing days, 17,869 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 5444 fine ounces of gold, and 15,277 fine ounces of silver. This includes 1882 tons mined from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 490 ounces of gold and 1224 ounces of silver. No. 5 level.—Martha lode: The crosscut at 800 ft. west is now out 260 ft. north-west. No. 6 level—Martha lode, north branch: Driving west the next 14ft. assays 16/3 a ton, and the next 10ft. is ore of good grade, the width being about IJft. No. 7 level.—Martha lode, north branch: Driving west the face is now at 407 ft.; following a leader from 6in. to 12in. wide of low value. No. 12 level.—Edward lode: We are now crosscutting the lode of 122 ft. | south of Cod crosscut. I Junction No, 6 level—ln the inter- j mediate level: The east drive on north j lode advanced 14ft., the assay value being 8/3 a ton. Driving is now j stopped. j Production Returns. j Bell-Kilgour . (Cromwell). — Last! week, 13oz. 13dwts. Chapman’s Find (Coramandel).— Two crushings were put through during the month, one of 8 yielding 4oz. 15dwt. of gold, and the othei; 3 tons 16dwts. for 250 z. lOdwts., making the total output of gold 30oz. sdwts. About 201bs. of specimen stone has not yet been treated. Goldfields Dredging (Shotover River, Otago).—Last week, 440 z. 18dwts. for 72 hours. King Solomon (Gore). —This week, 560 z. 2dwts. for five days’s work, one day being lost through boiler inspection.
