The well-known Rghtweight jockey', Arthur H. . Eastwobd,' aged 30, a married man with two children, died in hospital early this morning from the effects, of a fractured skull, the result of his mount, Mapethp, falling in the Jockey Club Handicap at Riccarton yesterday. He had ’riddOn many winners, including 1 t\vo New'Zealand Cup .victors. , - ■
Eastwood was .cox to the New Zealand crew that went the Empire Games in Canada in 1930.
