TWO MEN SENTENCED,

In the Supremo Court at Invercargill yesterday, Charles Martin Todd, aged 30, manned, with three children, was sentenced to 18 months’ reformative detention for the theft of county funds and .the forgery of paysheets. Cecil Laurence Gilbertson, aged 32, an accomplice, employed in clerical work by the council, was sentenced to six months’ x*efoi’mative detention. In regard to Gilbertson, Mr Justice Kennedy commented that, finding a fraudulent scheme already in existence, instead of reporting the matter, accused had been weak enough to fall and join in with the other pi’isoner.
