Mr R. C. Addison, inspector of the Bank of New South Wales, Wellington, who has been on a visit to London, will return to New Zealand on December 18.
Mr G. S. Russell, of Rangiora, has been appointed accountant to the Central Waikato Electric Power Board. Mr Russell has been accountant to the North Canterbury Electric Power Board for the past five years.
Dr H. Hogg and Dr J. G. Macdonald, of Invercargill, arrived at Aucki land by the Wanganella from Sydney yesterday. Dr Hogg is returning frorn a visit to England and Dr Macdonald from a trip to Australia.
The Rev. E. O. Blamires, of the Feilding Methodist Church, has been appointed organiser for New Zealand for the Bible in Schools League, and ,will take over the duties early next year. The appointment will involve the resignation of Mr Blamires from his Feilding church, and he will live in Wellington.
Canon R'. H.* Hobday, of Ellerslic, will leave for England in February, accompanied by Mrs Hobday and family, Canon Hobday was for nine years Vicar of Grey Lynn, and since 1932 he has been acting Vicar at St. Andrew’s, Epsom, and Ellerslie. He has also held the posts of Examining Chaplain to the Archbishop, Editor of the “Church Gazette,” chairman of tho District Council of the Students’ Christian Movement, and Assistant Lecturer in Greek at the Auckland University College.
