AUSTRALIAN TRANSACTIONS. SYDNEY PRICES APPRECIATE. SYDNEY, September 14. After a week of rising prices, shares bn the Sydney Stock Exchange went still higher today in anticipation of the general election tomorrow resulting in the return of the Lyons Government. The turnover was large and widespread throughout the market, and there was a strong, confident tone. Banking shares particularly were strong. Heavy dealings ori the gold market also were recorded, mostly at
advanced rates. Commonwealth bonds | were firmer.
