PRODUCTION RETURNS.
Glenroy (Murchison).—A preliminary wash-up on Saturday returned 28 ounces, A large proportion of the area treated was barren ground, including the tailings from old workings. Bell Hill (Ahaui’a, Nelson).—Return for month, 30 ounces for 120 hours’ work. All material treated was from the top levels. Nokomai (Central Otago).—The completion of a partially-excavated paddock at foot of the hill on the east side of the claim returned 185 oz 16£ dwts. More than half of the paddock had a high rock bottom carrying very little gold. It is now proposed to move the elevator from the high bar and open up a new paddock on more payable ground. Golden Dawn (Owharoa).—For the twelve working days ended September 3, a total of 305 tons of ore was treated for a return of £1145, realisation estimated at £7 2/ an ounce. Snowy River (West Coast).—For period ended September 9,3 oz 18dwts for 129 hours’ sluicing. Bell-Kilgour (Cromwell), This week, Boz sdwts. King Solomon (Gore).--This week, 420 z. Bell-Hooper (Cromwell).—A washup of No. 2 bin returned 6oz 7£dwts, making a total for last week of 15oz Bdwts.
