TRAMS COLLIDE
PASSENGERS UNHURT. VEHICLES BADLY DAMAGED. (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A collision between two tramcars occurred in Wellington, opposite the Government Building, late yesterday afternoon. Both tramcars were fairly badly damaged, but although one was full of passengers, nobody was injured. The collision was caused by a fault in the automatic point changing. One tramcar bound for Karori was turning up Molesworth Street, when the point slipped back before the rear bogie had passed. The back of the tramcar slewed round in the' direction of Lambton station, and while it was still moving it was struck by the other car coming from the station.
