WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP,
UNPLEASANT conditions. SEMI-FINALS THIS MORNING.' Conditions are still unpleasant for the Northern Ladies’ golf championship, which is being played on the Mount Denbv links. They were, in* deed, worse than ever this morning, a cold rain making things very trying for the contestants. The championship semi-finals, with a bogey match in conjunction, were played this morning, and this afternoon’s match was a Canadian foursome, / . The final for the championship title will bo played tomorrow, mofning. Second round results' are as follow: Mrs Nolan beat Miss Stewart, 6 and 5; Mrs Thomas beat Mr?. Gianville, 4 and 3; Mrs Reynolds beat Mrs Wilkinson, 6 and 4; Mrs Alison beat Mrs Younger, and 4. The second bogey match, which was played yesterday morning, resulted: — Senior. —Mrs Thomas and Mrs Reynolds tied, 2 down, but Mrs Thomas was awarded the match over the last nine holes. Junior. —Miss Bishworth and Miss Collins tied, also 2 down, Miss Eishworth ‘winning over the last nine holes. ,
The senior flag match played in the afternoon was won by Mrs Thomas, and the junior by Miss Collins. The semi-finals resulted: Mrs Thomas.beat Mrs Nolan, 5 and 4; Mrs Reynolds beat Mrs Alison, 3 and i.
