WOMAN BADLY HURT
JUMPED PROM LORRY. CAUGHT BY CLOTHING. (Special to "Northern Advocate.”) WARKWORTH, This Day. Alarmed by some wires fusing and bursting into flames, Mrs M. Sunde, aged 42, of To Kopurii, attempted to alight from a moving motor truck in the main street of Warkworth yesterday afternoon. | In jumping from the cab. Mrs Sunde’s clothing caught on the bodywork, and she fell, striking her .head heavily on the kerb, while the rear wheel of the truck passed on to her feet and dragged her for several vards.
After receiving medical attention the injured woman was admitp'l to Hie Warkworth Hospital. • Her condition is serious.
