Gayde, the special correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” in Vienna, cabled from Bratislava as , follows: — “I left Vienna at 8 a.m. Heimwehr ’ troops were being told officinlly that ■ Dr. Dollfuss was shot because he drew a. revolver when he was arrested, , “A woman who lived opposite the Ravag broadcasting station .saw ail that occurred there. She told me that when the policeman at the door challenged a group of eight boys they shot him dead. Also they shot Herr Holt, the director, just inside. “I was able to establish it as correct that only eight Nazi boys carried out this daring coup. “Detachments of police and Hcimwehr arrived until they numbered 1000, with machine gnus. The defenders returned the fire with only an occasional revolver shot.” INVASION THREAT. EXILES IN BAVARIA. BIG MOVE TOWARDS BORDER. (Received 0 a.m.) LONDON, July 2G. The Munich correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” states that rumours are rife there that Austrian Nazis exiled to Bavaria are about to invade Austria. It is reported that 3000 Aus-. trian Nazis are under arms and have received orders to stand by. All ibarraeks are guadod by Austrians, carrying rifles and wearing steel helmets. Inhabitants along the route leading to the frontier report that there has been heavy traffic at dawn for several days. Whole caravans and army lorries filled with Austrian Brown Shirts in full fighting kit have been moving toward Austria since Saturday. HELD APART. -SUSPECTED ASSASSINS. VICTIM’S BODY GUARDED. . The Berlin correspondent of “The Times” states that the three Nazis who arc alleged to have been responsible for Dr. Dollfuss’ death have been segregated' from their imprisoned companions. The murdered Chancellor’s body lies encoffined. in a building in Ballhaus Square. The body is shrouded in white, the arms crossed on the breast, with a crucifix between them. The body-is guarded by four soldiers of the Federal army, their heads bowed and' their arms reversed. TROUBLE ELSEWHERE. HEIMWEHR ATTACKED. HITLER, FLAG FLAUNTED. (Times Cable.) (Received 0 a.m.) LONDON, July 20. The Trieste correspondent of “The Times” states that at Klagenfurt, Nazis attacked members of the Heimwehr and killed several. At Raekersbnrg, Nazis occupied the public buildings and hoisted Herr Hitler’s flag on the local prison. At Witz, Nazis occupied the Styrian Governor’s office.
