NECESSITY NOT APPARENT. (Per Press Association.— Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Replying to the Marlborough Progress League regarding the suitability of Blenheim ns an Air Force base, tlm Minister of Defence, the Hon. J. 0. Cobbo, slated Dial (ho necessity for a further Air Force base was not yet apparent, and therefore no definite consideration had been given to the matter. The Minister added that attention was being directed by the Government towards developing the existing Air Force bases at Hobson ville, hen; Auckland, and Wigrnm, near Christchurch, and no occasion had yet arise to make necessary a provision for a third base.
