A British salvage tug has returned to Hongkong after fruitless attempts to refloat a Russian motor ship, the Knznet Zlesson, Tvliieli went- ashore on Pratas Island while voyaging ..from Leningrad to Vladivostok. -i' The stranded ship was too heavily laden to move. - . • The Russian captain • studiously re* fused to allow a salvage party near the hull. The nature of the cargo is'secret. However, it is known to include a river gunboat in sections, several 70foot launches, and much machinery. Another Russian ship is now standing by the Kuznet- Zlesson, and' : a third is expected soon.
