NAPIER, This Day. j Values on a par with last Welling- j ton sale, and from parity to a shade easier on Napier February rates, ruled j at the fourth Napier wool sale this j morning. There was good competi-j lion from all buying sources, bidding! being exceptionally well distributed,: The quality of the offering -was mixed, | comprising back country wools, late | shorn and in heavv condition, and a i * 1 j large proportion of hold-over wool.! Buyers stated that the quality of lambs’ wool was somewhat ingPassings were fairly frequent after the first catalogue, in which practically no lots were passed. Bradfords provided easier competition than in the previous Napier sales Continental sources working in lambs’ wool and pieces. The latter was a shade easier than at the last sale of finer wools in Wellington, Selling throughout this morning's session continued on a parity with, however, a variable tone becoming more apparent. It is estimated that, lambs’ wool is up to a penny easier than the February Napier rates, and that piece wools eased approximately a halfpenny.
